"Pot’s practice revolves around the careful staging of miniature figurines, toys and everyday objects, which she assembles into intricate photographic compositions. These seemingly playful elements become carriers of complex narratives, allowing her to explore themes of memory, conflict and the human condition.

For Blade, Pot constructs a fictional battlefield populated by miniature figures. Through collage, she introduces drones into the composition, creating a striking dialogue between the innocence of toys and the realities of contemporary warfare. The work reflects on the increasing distance between those who wage war and those who experience its consequences, revealing how technological advancement has transformed the nature of conflict without diminishing its human cost.

In contrast to the vibrant colours that often characterise her work, this composition is rendered in a restrained, almost monochromatic palette. This deliberate reduction intensifies the sombre atmosphere while demonstrating the versatility of Pot’s visual language. Familiar elements are reconfigured to address a subject of urgency, transforming play into a powerful reflection on violence, vulnerability and the fragile boundary between fiction and reality."
